Jim Lubing – Partner

jim-lubing-wyoming-lawyers-attorneyJames K. Lubing, founder of the firm, has practiced law in Jackson since 1985. Jim was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. He graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin in 1979, and earned his J.D. from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1984.

Jim moved to Wyoming in 1982, and married his wife of 38 years, Jill. He has been engaged in the general practice of law from his office in Jackson Hole since 1985. Jim maintains a diverse practice, representing clients in all types of civil and criminal litigation in the State and Federal Courts of Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. He is also admitted to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court. Jim was appointed as a part-time United States Magistrate Judge in 2004, and served as a Magistrate Judge until October of 2014. His experience as both lawyer and judge has allowed him to pursue a thriving mediation practice, helping individuals and their attorneys resolve disputes of all kinds.

Jim is a member of the Association of Ski Defense Attorneys, Teton County Bar Association, the Idaho State Bar Association, Montana State Bar Association, the Wyoming State Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.

Jim has been recognized for the highest level of professional excellence by Martindale-Hubbell.  Jim also was recognized for his litigation successes by being invited to join the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States whose membership is limited to attorneys who have won multi-million dollar verdicts, awards and settlements.

attorney-jim-lubing-wyoming-lawyersJim and his wife have two grown children, two dogs, and two horses. He spends his free time hiking, skiing, and biking, with a little fishing thrown in on the side. In the fall, most of his weekends are spent remaining a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers.

Kevin P. Gregory – Partner

Kevin grew up in Ocean City, Maryland. He attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree.

Kevin went on to attend law school at the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law in Richmond, Virginia. Kevin was a member of the Student Bar Association, Moot Court Board, Alternative Dispute Resolution Society and Trial Advocacy Board at Richmond Law.

Kevin graduated from University of Richmond School of Law, cum laude, and began working for a general practice firm in Ocean City, Maryland. His practice included a wide variety of matters, focusing primarily on civil litigation and local government issues.

Kevin relocated to Jackson Hole in 2014 and began work with a local law firm, focusing on a variety of real estate, development, business and civil matters. Kevin joined the firm in 2015.

Kevin’s practice with the firm focuses on representation of businesses and individuals in a wide variety of civil, transactional, business and other matters, with particular emphasis on providing his clients with effective guidance through litigation.

Kevin has been named to “Super Lawyers” Rising Stars list from 2015-2020. Kevin was named to “America’s Top 100 Attorneys” in 2017.
